These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of Engeji’s website, mobile application, and related services (collectively referred to as “the Platform”). By using the Platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not access or use the Platform.
1. Introduction
Engeji provides an online marketplace where users can list, discover, and communicate directly about goods and services. The Platform is owned and operated by Engeji (“we,” “our,” or “us”).
Your use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. User Accounts
- To access certain features, you may need to create an account using accurate and current information.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and all activities under your account.
- Engeji reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent or abusive conduct.
3. Use of the Platform
- You agree to use Engeji only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- You may not post, sell, or promote:
- Illegal, counterfeit, or stolen goods.
- Items that infringe intellectual property rights.
- Harmful, offensive, or misleading content.
- Engeji may remove or restrict listings that violate these rules at its sole discretion.
4. Listings and Transactions
- Listings are created and managed by users. Engeji does not own, inspect, or guarantee any listed goods or services.
- Transactions are made directly between buyers and sellers. Engeji is not a party to such transactions and bears no liability for their outcome.
- Users are responsible for verifying the authenticity, quality, and condition of items before purchase.
- Sellers must ensure their listings are accurate, clear, and lawful.
5. Communication
- Engeji facilitates buyer-seller communication through integrated tools, including WhatsApp links.
- Users must not use these tools for spam, harassment, or any unlawful activity.
- Engeji may monitor communication for compliance and security purposes.
6. Fees and Payments
- Engeji may charge listing, promotional, or transaction fees.
- Any applicable fees will be displayed before posting or promoting a listing.
- Fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
7. Intellectual Property
- The Platform, including its design, logo, and content, is the property of Engeji or its licensors.
- Users retain ownership of the content they post but grant Engeji a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute such content for operational and promotional purposes.
8. Limitation of Liability
- Engeji provides the Platform “as is” and makes no guarantees about its availability, performance, or accuracy.
- We are not responsible for:
- Losses resulting from user error, fraud, or third-party actions.
- Technical issues, delays, or data loss.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, Engeji’s liability is limited to the amount you have paid to us, if any, within the previous twelve months.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Engeji, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claim, loss, or expense arising from your use of the Platform or your violation of these Terms.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account without notice if you breach these Terms or engage in activities that may harm Engeji or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform immediately ceases.
11. Changes to the Terms
Engeji may revise these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on the Platform, and continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.
